This soft bag system is designed to be used either individually or together. The tail bag comes with the mounts to use by itself for smaller loads. For larger loads, the saddlebags can be quickly strapped on and, for long hauls, the tail bag can be snapped right to the saddlebags. If purchased elsewhere, you need to buy the necessary mounts to make the system work. But if purchased from your local Yamaha dealer, everything is included with the bags to make them work together. These bags will fit almost any motorcycle, but are not recommended for those with undertail exhaust like the R1 and FZ6.
Soft Saddlebags:
These high-quality soft saddlebags are made of UV-treated Tri-Max® ballistic nylon and hold their shape even when empty. Velcro®/buckle mounts for easy installation and removal. Features include front mesh pockets to hold cans or water bottles, waterproof slip-over covers for bad weather, external buckles for compatibility with the Nelson-Rigg® tail bag, and all necessary mounting hardware to attach the tail bag.
Holds 2142 cubic inches (35.1L) per side.
Main compartment measures: 17"L x 9"W x 14"H.
Fits all R6 models and all FZ1, FZ6, FZ8, FJR1300 models, plus many other motorcycles without under-tail exhaust.
